experiment failed after changing the restart echam file

Hi all, I met a problem when doing no-nudging expeirment.

I run the daily restart experiment after making some modification on the echam restart file, then the experiment failed, with the log file showing:

(the log file path is /work/ba1264/a270231/esm-experiments/AWICM/Restart_from_20180101/PD/PD_E1P2_NoNudging_afterStrongNudg_dailyRestart_20180111/log/PD_E1P2_NoNudging_afterStrongNudg_dailyRestart_20180111_awicm_compute_20180111-20180111_21447665.log) and the file of run_**/work/echam.stderr looks fine, no error report.

The modification on the restart file is about changing the value by Python and keep other attributes the same, and I have checked the modified file with the original file, they look the same except the value differs.

Oasis does not seem to find everything needed, e.g. from run_20180111-20180111/work/debug.root.01:

 oasis_io_read_avfile:av2_sst_feom:NetCDF: Variable not found

@wenqinzhuo, this could be a problem of how you have restarted the simulation or anything you've done manually. Can you please describe in detail the steps you have followed and provide the commands when possible?

the first step I made is copy all the restart/echam/*.nc file to the FILE_outlist, then I open it in Python by Dataset, and re-assgin values to the variables (note the dimensions also included in the variable list so I've excluded them), as shown in pic. one thing confusing is that even I don't do any change on it, just copy the ds.variables[var][:] and re-assgin it, then close the file, the experiment also failed (the path of echam file is adjusted accordingly in .yaml file, should be correct).

so the problem seems once I open those echam file with Dataset(path, mode='r+') , re-assign the value then close it , somehow it will fail in the experiment. (There should be no other problem with other files, because it will successful with original echam files. )

And when I ncdump -h with the file I adjusted and the original file, the information looks exactly the same, only the value differs.
