Thank you for your interest in contributing to Monekin (the "Project").
This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") clarifies the intellectual property rights granted with Contributions from any person or entity to the Project. By submitting a Contribution to the Project (for example, by opening a pull request), you ("Contributor") accept and agree to the terms below for your present and future Contributions.
- "Maintainer" means Enrique Lozano, the owner and lead maintainer of the Project.
- "Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including any modifications or additions to existing work, that is intentionally submitted by you to the Project in any form, including but not limited to source code, documentation, translations, designs, and configuration.
You grant the Maintainer a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and any derivative works thereof.
You also grant the Maintainer the right to license or relicense your Contributions, in whole or in part, as part of the Project or any derivative work, under any license terms, including proprietary and commercial terms. This means the Maintainer may distribute the Project (including your Contributions) commercially or under a closed-source license.
You grant the Maintainer and recipients of the Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contributions, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contributions alone or by combination of your Contributions with the Project.
You represent that:
- Each of your Contributions is your original creation, or you otherwise have the legal right to submit it and to grant the licenses above.
- Your Contributions do not violate any third party's rights, and you are legally entitled to grant the licenses set out in this Agreement.
- If your employer has rights to intellectual property that you create, you have received permission to make the Contributions on behalf of that employer, or your employer has waived such rights for your Contributions.
You understand that your Contributions are provided voluntarily and that you will not receive any compensation, royalties, or other payment for your Contributions or for any commercial or non-commercial use the Maintainer makes of them.
Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, you provide your Contributions on an "AS IS" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied.
You retain all right, title, and interest in and to your Contributions. Nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership of your Contributions; it only grants the licenses described above.
By submitting a Contribution to the Project, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Contributor License Agreement.
