Why no Astropy?

I've been looking through the code. Very cool project, but it seems like there's lots of manual re-implementations of stuff that astropy already does really well. Is there a reason not to just use their existing solutions?

When I started this project, I overlooked a lot of the features that astropy has to offer.
Not on purpose, but by not knowing. The prime idea was to have a tool that would group a number of objects, and insert them into Seestar_alp, it evolved to being a standalone application.
During Eastern I will take a step back for a helicopterview of where astropy would be more efficient.
