Anyone using FSCrawler with Windows file shares?

Is anybody using FSCrawler with Windows file shares?

1 If so what notation are you using for the url?
eg \\\\server\\folder1\\subfolder1,//server/folder1/subfolder1,
T:\\folder1\\subfolder1

2 Is FSCrawler keeping track of moved/renamed files and folders
In other words
scan 1 complete
files moved
Scan 2 complete

(assume no files moved during scans)
Do you have any orphan folders/documents in the indexes

3 Are you using?
index_folders: true
filename_as_id: false

Hey

1. If possible, I'd use //server/folder1/subfolder1 but everything is possible normally. See https://fscrawler.readthedocs.io/en/latest/admin/fs/local-fs.html#root-directory
2. It depends. On some Filesystems it might not work that well. But normally, removing a file from a folder should remove the file from the index. If detected. If not, you might need to "touch" the parent folder, which means changing its modification date.
3. If you want file removal to be detected, index_folders needs to be set to true (default). More on this at https://fscrawler.readthedocs.io/en/latest/admin/fs/local-fs.html#index-folders. filename_as_id is false by default.
