I believe the probability is low, I have not received any reports about nchat users getting banned. But there are certainly cases of people getting banned for using other third-party whatsapp clients (you can google it), but many times I suspect they are using automated clients for mass messaging / spam. On a related note I believe third-party client bans are often temporary (based on posts online - there have been no nchat cases to my knowledge). Also, this question came up before, see #147 for the answer that time. Note: The above may change at any point in time, so if one is dependent on a WhatsApp account in day-to-day activities, it's safer to avoid using a third-party client with it. |

Hey! Totally valid concern. Yes, WhatsApp definitely bans for automation, but it depends on how you use it. If you're just using it normally (no bots, no automation), you shouldn't worry about getting banned. They're mainly targeting spam and automated messaging. If you do want to experiment with automation, I'd recommend using a secondary number you don't mind losing, and keep the activity really light. |
