Update motuclient, deprecated pip

I recently received a message from the CMEMS service desk informing me that I had to upgrade to motuclient v1.8.4 by 26 Nov 2019 to continue using the service. Presumably this is due to pip deprecation for Python 2. However, installing the latest version can't be performed as described in the Readme file on Mac because pip defaults to Python 2.7 (as required by the OS). Thus

pip install motuclient

Just told me I already had v1.8.3 which would be deprecated soon.

I was able to fix this on Mac OS following suggestions here.

python3 -m pip install --upgrade --force pip
pip -V

For pip to default to using python 3. Then

pip install motuclient

and now motuclient recognizes the Python and pip updates and correctly installs v1.8.4. Issue was solved but wanted to document here for others with the same issue.

Update: this only worked on one of my Mac machines. The other doesnt give the same results with the approach above. Workaround is:

python3 -m pip install motuclient
python3 -m motuclient --version
