Recommended OS for musikcube

Experimented with a musikcube's installation on a Raspi 4 using the Pi 64-bit OS lite. This appears to have failed. The 'operating system setup' requires jessie or stretch. Thought these are now obsolete or is there an alternative ?

What is the best current OS selection for a Raspi 3B+ ?

Still desire to assemple a headless musikcube setup using a 3B+ and a lite OS. Then use musikdroid as a remote control.

Have located the archive of Jessie images that range from 2015-09-28 to 2017-07-05.

All errored with the Raspi Imager.

Appears to burn correctly but then does not boot.

Resorted to the Raspi OS lite [64-bit] and then followed the set-up instructions.

1. Reconfigured keyboard
2. Updated system
3. usbmount appears to be unavailable
4. There is not a musikcube_x.x.x_raspberry_pi_armhf.deb on the release page
5. Selected musikcube_3.0.3_linux_rpi_armv6.deb instead
6. sudo dpkg -i ./musikcube_3.0.3_linux_rpi_armv6.deb
7. sudo apt-get install -f
8. musikcube resulted in an error..

thsk@raspberrypi:~ $ musikcube
/usr/bin/musikcube: 6: exec: ./musikcube: not found

Any help or direction is appreciated,
