Brand New XMR Wallet Unusable #2849

Describe the bug
New wallets are at Blockchain height 19k+. The sync upon wallet open every few minutes always resets. I have a good connection to nodes. New wallets never synchronize. Attempting to rescan wallet from block height a few days before wallet creation (as in, a few days ago) crashes the app.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Create new wallet
- Never syncs
- Rescan wallet > 2 days before wallet creation, app pauses, Android gives notification of app crash
Expected behavior
I would like to be able to use cake wallet and not have constant syncing. I would like to be able to rescan a wallet from a date.
