BEGIN_DOWNLOAD was denied

Hi!
I'm not quite sure, if this is the right place to ask a question...
Yesterday I tried compiling and running the hello world c project on my linux pc.

Compiling works, but when I try to upload it via the Eclipse Plugin, I get this error:
"UNKNOWN_HANDLE: Path doesn't exist (BEGIN_DOWNLOAD was denied.)" (with the window title being: "Error uploading (code=6)"
while the other window says:
"Uploading to EV3... Uploading ELF executable.."

I don't know it it helps but here is some terminal output:

I would guess that the udev rules didn't get installed or that the EV3 was already plugged in and didn't trigger the rules.

I think it was only a part of the problem. I now have updated the udev rules, but it still failes with the same error message.

Previous /etc/udev/rules.d/99-ev3duder.rules:

After that I reloaded the rules and reconnected the ev3 with usb:

sudo udevadm control --reload-rules
sudo udevadm trigger

Now it shows me this:

If I unplug the brick it only doesn't show me /dev/hidraw5 anymore.

What is the default device ev3duder uses? here it should use /dev/hidraw5, right?

ev3 --usb info works correctly, prints device info, and the EV3 beeps.

Oh, I get it now. The UNKNOWN_HANDLE looks like it is actually from the EV3 bytecodes. We would need to see what commands you are actually sending to the EV3. I'm guessing the download command is being provided with a path that is not a valid path on the EV3 rather than a problem on your computer.

Since I use the Eclipse plugin: Is there a way to display the full commands being executed?
When I go to EV3 -> Connection Settings -> Connection Info, it shows me:
command line: /usr/lib/ev3duder/ev3duder --usb= --serial= --nop -t=0
(/usr/lib/ev3duder/ev3duder exists)

Sorry, I don't know anything about Eclipse plugins.

From the error message, we can see it is getting as far as running the up command, but it doesn't like the file name that is passed to up. Maybe there is a directory separator (/) in the name or something like that that it doesn't like?

one possible cause I can think of is I that the ev3duder version included with the Eclipse plugin was quite outdated. Compiling a new ev3duder version from this repository might fix it, but I am not sure.

Another idea I have is that some directory in the Eclipse upload path could be missing. The following commands should list directory contents along the path:

• /usr/lib/ev3duder/ev3duder ls (probably lists /home/root/lms2012/BrkProg_DL or some similar path
• /usr/lib/ev3duder/ev3duder ls /
• /usr/lib/ev3duder/ev3duder ls /home
• /usr/lib/ev3duder/ev3duder ls /home/root
• /usr/lib/ev3duder/ev3duder ls /home/root/lms2012

It looks like my Eclipse plugin setup is incorrect, as the CLI works and all paths exist.
