Hello everyone.
I am currently trying to run a modified version of the rotor in hover case (different rpm and different blade geometry) in accordance with the high-fidelity parameters presented in the FLOWUnsteady website. My problem is that it is stated that the high-fidelity case should take ~30 hours on a 16-core AMD EPYC 7302 processor and since I have an Intel Core i9-14900KF running on 24 threads (I haven't tried using the full 32) I would expect similar if not better simulation times. However, my simulation is taking much longer than expected to run (in excess of 70 or 80 hours), I changed the SFS model to a constant Cd (as recommended) and it barely made a dent in the simulation time.
In light of this, I would like to know if someone has experienced similar problems and what are some common fixes to them that might be worth investigating.
