Hi Jeff,
Happy New Year!

Yes, I’m still working on Minuet and I hope to make kits available in the first half of this year or thereabouts. I have manufactured custom motors and mounts to ease installation and I have started designing v4 of the Minuet board with further improvements towards getting into production.

Next on my list is finishing up an announcement page where folks can receive updates and pre-order kits.

And meanwhile, I’m wrapping up my van build. Almost done! 🎉

Nice! Just bought a van with a maxx fan installed by the prior owner, so now between our van and our Bigfoot I've got three Maxfans.

@hostirosti Thanks for your interest. I recommend waiting until I complete the next prototype to address known issues before manufacturing your own boards. I hope to make the kits available somewhere around the first half of this year.

After a hiatus from the road I'm about to get back to full-timing with my partner, and I'm already dreading the squeak from the two fans in our rig.

All of the extra features you're building sound nice (wifi integration / off-site control especially) but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to just get a good sleep in my rig during a hot summer. I see you said there are issues with v3, but my sense is that these issues are related to some of the bells and whistles?

If my goal is just to get a brushless motor installed is there still a significant reason to wait?

Yeah simple silent motor replacement kit that does nothing else is all I want.

You could do a limited run of X units and then auction them off as a way to discover what price the market is willing to pay.

My guess is many people will happily pay a premium.

Auctions for each batch is likely the best way to maximise profits so you can roll them into scaling production and going full-time on this.
