Conky halts on mouse movement, goes on when movement stops

System: Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.3 with kernel 6.17.0-23-generic

I have created a conky that runs 2 lua scripts. One script creates a ring, the other creates 3 graph lines. These all react on a cava data stream (on sound).

When i run the conky and i move my mouse around it freezes, when i stop moving the mouse it goes on!
Exceptions are moving over Telegram and the conky windows itself,, that seems to have no effect. All other windows or desktop it freezes the conky.
I searched in the code, but have no clue what happens here!?? I don't know if this is a bug or not.
Maybe one of you guys can see what happens here or test if the same happens on your system?

I think it has something to do with double_buffer. If i disable double buffer it flickers when i move, but it does not freeze!
When i enable, the freezing is back. Also when i move my mouse and it freezes, when i do simultaneously a CTR+C it keeps freezed on my screen until i stop moving, then it terminates... buffer overrun???

Another thing i noticed. I have 2 mouses connected to my system. One is a Logitech MX518 and the other one is a Cooler Master Sentinel III. When i move my Cooler Master mouse the conky freezes, when i move my Logitech mouse, nothing happens.
They both use the hid-generic,usbhid driver (inxi)
What can cause this freeze with one mouse and not the other??

Changing the Cooler Master mouse to a faster usb port makes no difference... i'm out of ideas why this happens??
Can it be hardware??

Can you please test the caellian/fix/propagation-handling branch from #2391?

It doesn't address this issue specifically, but it rearranges most event handling code and makes mouse events behave correctly in a lot more cases.

Yes, solved!!
No more freezes at mouse movement. But now i have other problems... some conky's have very dull colors.. as if there's a black glow over them. Or some alpha is not correct!?

Never mind, fixed it with changing lua_draw_hook_pre to lua_draw_hook_post.

EDIT: Nope, now my temp value is not visible... :/

EDIT2: Yeah, not going to use this version! Now i have a problem if i use lua_draw_hook_pre it's graphic is behind the background image. As shown in the previous post. That can be fixed if you only have to call 1 function with post, but when calling more lua functions i have to call it with pre and post... sucks!

This has to do with the order in which you draw things on Lua from what I can tell - you can have it in pre hook, so long as you draw the background gradient before the graphic.
