Description
Allowing users to measure distances and angles between points in the map would allow for all sort of things, including drift corrections.
Original feedback (Tony – @vshie)
"Application – determine drift with BlueBoat idle, then plot course based on this – can't because trail on map disappears in mission planning mode, and heading only possible to estimate with survey lines.
Right now its tough to make measurements or determine headings using cockpit - you may be pulling coordinates from the readout (can't copy-paste from that easily), and going to google earth to load coordinate in and make a measurement. So I guess a measure tool, that lets you click anywhere and drag a line, showing distance and heading of the line, would be useful. In our application, we had a target location we were trying to drift the BlueBoat past, and knowing which way the BlueBoat was drifting was tough to determine."
Expected improvement
- Preserve the vehicle trail in mission planning mode
- Enable better heading estimation and drift analysis for course planning
