Error Could not analyze file (single file) and Invalid Audio Files (batch)

Hi everybody !

I have just started using Bird Net Anlyzer to analyse recording collected from Audiomoths during the breeding season in the UK. However, I got stuck pretty quickly. I'm sorry if this is not the best place to ask, but I wasn't sure if anybody would be willing to help ?

1. I tried to analyse just one recording to see how it worked. I selected the recording I wanted (which definitely has birds on it!) and just pressed 'Analyze'
There's an error that come through saying 'Error Could not analyze file'
At this point I haven't touched any other buttons/settings.

2. I then tried with a batch analysis. Same process, not really touching anything:
It comes as 'invalid audio files' in the bottom.

Things I tried/consider:

• Files are in good format (WAV, 46khz). They open and play on kaleidoscope fine, and there's definitely birds on it. Spectrogram shows something promising too.
• Files are only 1min long, they don't have funky characters in their names.
• I tried changing the path of the directory and the output (in case of funny characters or too long path names)
• Running them through Kaleidoscope, re-saving them as WAV files, and re-running them trhough BirdNet Analyser
• Trying running a robin recording (MP3) from Zeno-canto on a single analysis: **this didn't work either **, what else could be faulty in my settings (my laptop? Authorisations?)

I'm a bit lost and would appreciate insights !

I've now tried doing all of this from another laptop and it worked fine, so I will close this for now. Sorry - feel free to delete it !
