Orange gene set Dictybase Phenotype is made from data in dictyBase. Gene sets in dictyBase contain DDB gene IDs and Orange tries to convert them to Entrez IDs before use. As some genes do not have Entrez ID they are excluded from Orange gene sets, despite them being included in other gene sets. Similar problems may be occurring in other gene sets, as reported in #218 . This leads both to genes without annotations and empty gene sets, as shown in: https://nbviewer.jupyter.org/github/biolab/baylor-dicty/blob/master/DiscardedGenesWithoutEID.ipynb
I believe the functionality should be changes to match the functionalities of online databases, where some of the genes excluded in Orange will yield gene set ontology membership results (as shown in #218 link to gene set database)).
