Utilizing the LARGO tool with video #1392

Hi Tyler, we have observed the issue you describe in the past. Such a mismatch can occur if the "moov atom" of the video is placed incorrectly. BIIGLE will show a warning for these files now, to avoid the mismatch. But we also found that a mismatch can occur in Chrome even if the moov atom position is correct. This only happens for some (few) videos. To this date, we don't know why this happens. Maybe we can use your video to investigate this issue further. May we access one of the videos for testing? I can't promise any timeline when we could find a fix, though. Also, I'm afraid that the frames displayed in Largo are the "correct" ones, so if you plan to post-process the annotations (e.g. to extract frames) there will also be a mismatch. |

Hey, Pardon my slow response, yes you are more than welcome to access any of the videos as needed. I will continue to look more into it as well. Thank you, Tyler |

I believe that I conducted annotations with Google Chrome (my own personal
computer) and Microsoft Edge (Lab computer). Hard to know when annotations
were conducted in each as I worked between the two computers fluidly.

Did you use any browser other than Chrome for annotation?

Hey Martin,
Thank you for having a look at this. I will check to see if new annotations
created using Chrome are displayed correctly.
Best,
Tyler

I tested the video and it seemed to work as expected in Chrome. I can't
test Edge, so this could still be the culprit. If you create a new
annotation using Chrome, is it displayed correctly in Largo? If yes, please
stick to Chrome for now.
In the next weeks I want to try a new solution
<#391 (comment)> that
could fix this issue for good in all browsers. I have to finish a couple of
other tasks first, though.

Hello, I am in the process of reviewing annotations across two projects and have noticed that when using the Largo tool the thumbnail doesn't align with the video annotation. Are there currently any solutions to this? I have provided two example images below. The first demonstrating that the annotation box is not around the annotated object (In this case Actrinaria) and then the second image is an example of the actual video annotation (for the top left box).
Best,
Tyler
