can't open the world anymore

When I used /cleanlight on the server, the server ticks stopped and it has not opened since. I tried to play with that world data in single player and it would not open as well. I think I am probably experiencing some sort of glitch in the chunk generation system. Also, is there a solution to this glitch?

The server log should show exactly what is going wrong, can you check it for the errors shown there?

I can't give you any details because I don't have the server data immediately available, but the console displayed "This is an error that does not normally occur" during single-player. I believe that was all.

Single player? Did you fix lighting on the bukkit server and then import it into singleplayer again? I dont know too much about the chunk format but maybe bukkits format isnt compatible with the vanilla one

Sorry, I am not sure how to fix the problem. I restarted the server after it stopped responding, but after it started it stopped responding, so I loaded it in single player. The server did not log any errors.

when it stops responding wait for 5 minutes or so, the server will then log a stack trace of what threads are hung and why. Also try running server commands like /version while its in this state instead of trying to join as this could be a firewall/routing issue.
