Installed the latest on a DS223j.

Read/write speeds are only about 32 Mbps, one-third of the standard 1 Gbps interface.

It looks like the LAN adapter is recognized as 5 Gbps.

I have tried an alternate UGReen controller and a different cable. I have tried forcing 2.5 or 5 Gbps via the managed switch it is connected to. The link just goes down.
I connected the adapter and cable to a Mac, and they achieved the expected 5 Gbps via auto-negotiation.

Any ideas?
