Is there a way to set up an alert that triggers after a backup is taken, to let me know if the backup was successful or not?

I've checked the documentation but haven't found anything for this - is there a simple way to do it?

We don't have anything specific to the replication having completed (i.e., positive confirmation), but you could set an alert based on the metrics-- Specifically, volsync_volume_out_of_sync may be of use.

thanks for the suggestion! I actually ended up writing a custom Python script to handle the alerting for backup completion. It works, but it'd be awesome if this was a built-in feature.

I think having event hooks or triggers for backup events could be super useful. Some quick use cases that come to mind:

• Notifying admins when backups succeed/fail
• Kicking off post-backup processes automatically
• Integrating backup status into monitoring dashboards

Anyway, just my two cents! The metrics approach is a good workaround for now.
