ble.sh causes OMP colours/theming to break

Hi team,

So I posted this in oh-my-posh discussions here:

I've tried on 3 different terminals: Konsole, Kitty and WezTerm.

For ble.sh with BASH, you add the following to your .bashrc to enable the syntax highlighting:

# Enable ble.sh BASH syntax higlighting
[[ $- == *i* ]] && source /usr/share/blesh/ble.sh

However, when I do this with OMP, I see the following visual changes (I've blocked out my user for privacy):

ble.sh seems to be destroying the colours. If I then a new terminal, I see a default PS1 it seems like, then when you run any command for the first time it will then display the broken OMP again:

The elements seem to all be there, just the colours breaking.

I feel slightly inappropriate asking the OMP community, but I thought to start here first since it doesn't seem to be happening with a normal BASH PS1 prompt that I tested with.

And the maintainer mentioned it sounds like ble.sh might be outputting ANSI escape sequences incorrectly.

Can this be looked at? As this seems to be the best pack for bash syntax highlighting but it seems to not be working with oh-my-posh, which is a huge shame.

Could you follow the issue template? Actually, you should have reported an issue as a GitHub Issue, but it's OK if you follow the instructions here. What is the result of the following command? If the following doesn't work, please follow the instructions in the issue template.

$ ble summary

OK, that means you use a six-year-old version of ble.sh. Could you use the latest version?

haha oh wow I didn't realise that happened :O
I installed it with Octopi which should just be yay and says last updated was October 25.
I'll uninstall and re-installer. Sorry if this was really stupid! I'll install via the GitHub instructions and get back

So I'm now confused how its an old version.

If you obtained it from AUR, please use blesh-git instead of blesh.

blesh is version 0.3 from 2019 without the support for 24-bit colors, and only receives bug fixes.

If you use yay, you can simply run yay -Sy blesh-git. It will ask you if you want to remove blesh prior to installing blesh-git.
