I just tried your software ... its fantastic ... small and simple ... the sounds are realistic ... great experience !!!
I am using it on Linux platform ... i usually don't like to keep the terminal open ... i use the & at the end of the launch command so that i can close the terminal window. This causes a problem, the problem to exit this app ... would be great if you had a keyboard shortcut to launch and exit this app.

Its a great app, great when you are typing a lot of text ... like in the word editors ... but in browser address bar or search fields on a website or in the terminal (would be great to have it work when we are writing posts on a forum or here writing this post on the issues page) not so great ... Would be nice If the smaller typing ltems could be omitted

just an idea/thought ... its feasibility i am not so sure ... you the developer ... you'd know if something like this is practically implementable !!!

Thank you for your interest in the software, I am glad you liked it! About your suggestion, yes I have considered to implement a tool bar's icon to allow start/top/mute the application, unfortunately, I have not had the time to work on it. Meanwhile I suggest you to use the guake terminal, which allow you to conveniently hide the terminal where the typewriter-sounds is running.

You are right about the different experience when typing in browser addresses or similar! It turned out that humans type very differently when the text context is different than prose. I noticed it as well when typing computer code. Unfortunately, as the application works a low level catching key strokes, it does not discern in which context a key press occurred. Still I think a program like that is still possible, but a lot more complex to implement.

I guess that a more practical solution is to implement a mute mechanism, in order to activate/deactivate the sounds as wished.

I you have some code improvements, please be free to send a Pull request!!

i wish i could ... unfortunately i am no coder ... :)
a command to mute and unmute can be configured with system wide keyboard shortcuts and managed on the contextual activation.

Hope you are able to find time to tweak this a little more ...

the typewriter sounds are just perfect !!!

I forgot to tell you, if you install a typewriter font like this one, the experience will be more than complete!! Hehe! :)
