1. Hentai2Read & Batch Downloading

The app now supports downloading directly from Hentai2Read. Paste a gallery URL into the URL field — the app will detect the gallery, fetch all images, and save them into a folder named after the gallery title.

Batch downloading is supported for Hentai2Read, nhentai, and Saint2. To use it:

1. Open the appdata folder where the application stores its configuration files.
2. Create a text file named after the site, for example: hentai2read.txt, nhentai.txt, or saint2.su.txt.
3. Paste one full gallery URL per line into that text file.
4. In the application, paste the site's base URL (for example https://hentai2read.com/) into the URL input and start the download — the app will find the text file and process every URL in the list.

2. Action After Download (Settings)

A new “Action After Download” dropdown in the settings (⚙️) lets you choose what the computer does after long downloads complete.

How to use:

1. Click the ⚙️ (Settings) button.
2. Find the Action After Download: dropdown.
3. Select the desired action and save.

Options:

• Off — do nothing (default).
• Notify with Sound — play a system sound when finished.
• Sleep — put the computer into light sleep (wakes on mouse/keyboard).
• Shutdown — shut the computer down completely.

When Sleep or Shutdown is selected, a confirmation dialog appears after downloads finish with a 10-second countdown. The action proceeds automatically when the timer reaches zero, or you can click No to cancel.

A new Auto-Retry failed files checkbox appears when Sleep or Shutdown is selected. If enabled, the app will retry any failed files one more time before initiating the sleep/shutdown sequence.

3. Renaming Mode (formerly Manga/Comic Mode)

Renaming Mode replaces the old Manga/Comic Mode name to better reflect its functionality for sequential content.

Key behavior:

• Processes posts from a creator from oldest to newest to preserve chronological order.
• Disables multi-threading for certain naming styles to avoid out-of-order filenames.
• Enables a special Name: button so you can cycle filename patterns (e.g., Post Title, Date, Original Filename).

Best for webcomics, story chapters, photo series, or any content that must be saved and named chronologically.

Important warning

If you choose a sequential naming style (for example Date Based or Title + G.Num) and also specify a page range (e.g., pages 5–10), you will receive a warning. These naming styles rely on seeing all posts from the start to create correct numbering; a page range can produce incomplete or incorrectly numbered files.

4. In-App Updates

The app can now update itself directly from the settings dialog — no website visit required.

How to update:

1. Open Settings (⚙️).
2. Scroll to the Application Updates section.
3. Click Check for Updates.
4. If an update is available, you’ll be prompted to download and install it; the app will handle the update and restart automatically when finished.

Is there any way to filter video downloads by length? For example a creator posts a preview of a full video thats like 20 sec long and in the next post is the full video. So it would be great to just skip the preview vids that are like less than a minute long or something.

In the "Skip by words" if you type a number in big breakets than the downloader will skip the file below that size For eg .. if you type [100] in the input than it wil skip every file below 100 mb

Would it be possible to add a feature where-in after the entire batch completes, the downloader tries to download every failed download, looping until it has successfully downloaded everything? Due to the spaghetti servers that Kemono and Coomer use, sometimes I have to tell Kemono Downloader to attempt to download the same few files up to 10 times before managing to download the mall.
