Use of WebCodecs API (/ Mediabunny)

I'm wondering if some use-case of VERT could make use of WebCodecs API (/ Mediabunny), instead of relying on either a server round trip to OR an embedded WASM instance (lower performing and higher bundle size) of ffmpeg / vertd
