Allow automatic deletion of mod files not specified in the config

Could you explain a little more what you're looking for? I don't quite understand the request.

Having FD delete all mod files not included in the configs?
Seems a bit extreme, but probably not impossible.

Not sure how that should work for other file paths, though. As FD allows downloading more than just mods. (such as configs or scripts) to other folders.

Nor how that should behave with folders inside of the mods folder. (such as /mods/1.12.2/)

As for deleting old versions of mods, you can already do this, you just need to configure FD to delete files you don't want. Check the wiki for that!

Currently using a fork of FD that has this feature but it broke and no longer wants to delete old files, might go back to the original and manually setup the deletion then. But yeah the original idea was to have it delete every mod not in the config.

Perhaps we could include a way to specify a folder path for purging? & an excluded files list for that particular path. I can definitely see that being useful to reduce issues where players drag & drop broken or incompatible mods into the pack at random. In a filepaths.json?

I'm thinking something like so:

Where this config example would not delete anything under exceptions, or any files specified in mods.bundle.json.

@ACGaming might have a better idea of how possible this is.

Also if you could; what fork are you using? Might help us to know how they do it.
