Hi, I stumbled into Sync-in when I was searching for alternatives to Nextcloud, but specifically it's ability to connect to a variety of storage backends - I use a SFTP backend which connects via SSH to my NAS & passes the logged-in user's credentials to the backend. This allows me to utilize the underlying file system permissions to control access.
Moreover Nextcloud has LDAP & WebDAV, which I string together to allow LDAP users to access their files on NAS, without too much user config in Nextcloud itself.
But Nextcloud has an aweful sync client. I don't use any other bloated features of Nextcloud
I also use Seafile for its robust sync, but it saves data in its own format.
I really liked what Sync-in can do, how it looks & the care shown in making the docs.
So the question is...
does Sync-in support alternative storage backends, other than the container host's mounts, or is this on the roadmap?
This has the potential to replace both Nextcloud & Seafile for me.
