Problems Caused by Altitude = 90° in the Search Field
I wanted to display the entire visible sky in stereographic projection, centered with north at the bottom of the screen.
To do this, I entered the position azimuth = 0° and altitude = 90° in the search field (azimuthal).
Stellarium 26.2 (Windows 11) then does some strange things.
- The image jumps back and forth (though sometimes it doesn’t), even when I enter a different azimuth.
- You can’t change the azimuth values using the v and ^ fields.
- The v and ^ fields for altitude only change the sign.
Perhaps an angle function is causing problems at an altitude of 90°.
One more question: Is it possible to display the numerical values of the compass markings in the view even below the horizon?
