How or why do my shortcut's "Start in" and "Icon" get messed up?

I am using Electron Forge and recently upgraded to 6.0.4 from a beta version of 6. After the upgrade, shortcuts no longer have icons and their "Start in" are messed up. However, the logs emitted by Squirrel.Windows for creating the shortcut seem fine. Is this a Squirrel.Windows issue? An Electron Forge issue? Or just a Windows issue?

The solution presented in that issue are to just manually fix it, but that is a hard sell for my users and it seems to break again if you reinstall.

Turns out it was because my description was greater than the allowed 260 characters of the "Comment" field.
