Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, PicView uses its own fixed sorting logic (or a pre-defined order). This often leads to a mismatch between the order of images in Windows Explorer and the order in which they appear when navigating through PicView. For example, if I sort a folder by "Date Modified (Descending)" in Explorer, PicView might still display them by "Name," making it confusing to browse specific sets of photos.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like PicView to have an option to "Follow Windows Explorer sorting." Specifically:
When PicView opens an image, it should detect the current sorting criteria (Name, Date, Size, etc.) and direction (Ascending/Descending) of the source folder.
The browsing sequence (Previous/Next) should automatically match that folder's view settings.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Currently, I have to manually adjust the sorting settings within the image viewer (if available) to match the folder, which is repetitive and inefficient. Some other viewers like Honeyview or FastStone offer similar "Sort by Folder" or "Shell Sort" features.
Additional context
This feature would greatly improve the user experience for users who manage large amounts of media across different folders with various sorting needs (e.g., photography, design assets).
