My case fans stopped working after I installed Fan Control

Before installing Fan Control, all my fans were fully functionnal I just wanted to install it to be able to fine tune them without going into the bios

When I installed it, it automatically detected my fans but 4 of them were greyed out, and stopped completely spinning, I tried messing with the settings without any success

The greyed out fans couldn't detect a speed sensor, if I forced the association to a speed sensor it would just copy that value, I tried calibrating them anyway but it didn't change a thing, I had a "!" appearing on the percentage stating "this control does not respond properly to the current command"

I uninstalled the software, removed any trace of PawnIO, restored a previous save on my PC, reseted my BIOS, I've unplugged and replugged my fans...

Nothing worked so far, I still have 4 fans that just completely stopped working. They appear in the BIOS but they're unresponsive to any change, even when I set the control to manual and put a flat line they don't spin anymore.

I really need help, I use my computer for work and and most of it is very CPU and GPU intensive, I know the fans are still functionnal cause there is no way 4 of my fans just stopped working at the same time but I'm completely lost on what I can do

The fact they were greyed out simply means FanControl tried to change their speed, as would your BIOS, and no RPM sensor reacted. If it's not working from your BIOS, it won't work from FanControl.

What's you board? Simply rebooting your PC normally wipes out anything FanControl applies, BIOS reset is overkill but should definitely give you a clean slate.

What's your actual fan situation? How many, where are they connected? Are they PWM/DC? Is the bios configured properly for PWM/DC?

If BIOS can't at all control the fans with proper config, I'm out of ideas
