[Feature request] Lock mouse cursor in Windowed Mode

Quick summary

Hi there, I am requesting a feature where one can lock the mouse cursor to the center of the screen in windowed mode. I have seen the feature is available in full screen, but as I don't really play games in fullscreen for a variety of reasons, said option would be very useful.

Details

A simple checkbox alongside the current fullscreen option, but for windowed mode. This feature would improve the ability to use windowed mode, which many people prefer to fullscreen. This feature is a basic feature of pretty much every PC game for the last 30 years, so having an emulator lack it seems as if it's missing part of why people would choose to emulate on PC as opposed to reviving their old hardware, or obtaining used hardware.

You can actually just lock it with the mouse lock shortcut, which doesn't care if it's fullscreen or not.
So I feel like an extra option for this rare use-case is unnecessary.

I will test this option out and see if it works for what I'm trying, but this raises the question as to why the checkbox even exists for fullscreen if there's just a shortcut to do it anyways. If it's redundant for windowed mode, wouldn't it also be redundant for full-screen? Is there something that the checkbox does that the shortcut doesn't and vice-versa?

EDIT: I have done some initial testing and the shortcut simply does not do a good job of locking the mouse. Strong inputs basically allow the mouse to break containment, which in a windowed mode can easily lead you to closing the game.

Checked it out and unfortunatelly this is not an option, because even if you disable scaling in LS it will still be switching the app to the fullscreen mode.

The most common use case is to have it enabled globally for fullacreen for games that natively support mouse&KB.
The shortcut only exists because someone asked for it (or because it was easy to add and doesn't hurt).
Realistically speaking a minority of people use this shortcut.
Keep in mind that the fraction of people seriously using mouse&KB on a ps3 emulator is probably low in the first place.
And the fraction of that fraction of that fraction that uses it for windowed mode is very small.

The global setting simply enables the feature whenever you're in fullscreen.
The shortcut kinda toggles the feature no matter which window mode you're in.

I've seen this around before, so I might give it a try. It seems like third-party solutions are the way to go with how "it's not a common use-case" will be invoked for what should be simple asks.

I think that's a pretty massive assumption that the people using windowed mode for KBM gaming on a PC are a neglible population. My experience with PC gamers has been exactly the opposite since in many cases, having to alt-tab from a fullscreen application is a pain in the rear. As a result, people will turn to things like the aformentioned "Borderless Gaming" application to remedy this issue as many of the games they would be playing are depreciated and unsupported and must therefore be modified to fit.

But this case is one where I specifically asked on the Discord about how to do this, got unhelpful replies, then got told to make a request here, and now I am seeing said request essentially be dismissed. I would be willing to wager that anybody who is indeed using KBM to game would also prefer to use windowed, especially if they are anything like me where they are constantly multitasking.

For the record, among the responses to my initial inquiry were "why would you do this?" and "have you considered using a controller?", to which I can only chortle at how badly both of those, as well as your response completely miss the point. However, I digress. If the devs of this program wish to dig their heels, so be it.

I mean the feature is already implemented.
It's just not very straightforward to fix the bug you mentioned.
The easiest way is to decrease your mouse sensitivity and increase the mouse acceleration in rpcs3

@luciferstardemon You might try to buy a gamepad. This will cost some money but on the other hand, there will be no cursor which could annoy you. Yeah, it's not the answer that you might expect, but I'm trying to help you
