[API Error: 400 <400> InternalError.Algo.InvalidParameter for every message

What happened?

Any message/ request/prompt sent to Qwen code gives a API Error: 400. Every single one. This has been happening for the last 12-16 hours without any setting or config change by me. Started happening in the middle of a coding session
Exact error message:
✕ [API Error: 400 <400> InternalError.Algo.InvalidParameter: An assistant message with "tool_calls" must be followed by tool messages responding to each "tool_call_id". The following tool_call_ids did not have response messages: message[540].role]

What did you expect to happen?

The prompts are sent to the model and the model responds appropriately

It was fine before yesterday, and it's getting worse since then?

@Mingholy Yes, that's right. I don't remember the time it started. I've received this error intermittently previously but since yesterday afternoon (my time,, IST), the CLI gives only this error no matter what I prompt. I've restarted my PC, tried to update the cli and even re-Authed but nothing helps

me too, i found you on google, i came to say, i also experiencign this issue with Qwen3 80B - online web interface, official qwen chat.

I might found the root cause.

Everytime I initiated the qwen-code, I will append -a to it, which include all files as context, that cause the context windows is too large for qwen3 llms

Pretty this is not the issue. I don't append -a when I launch qwen cli. The server error response also when I have just sent a "Hello, Good Morning" message :-))
