This is a tool explicitly limited to conda packages.

PyPI is lacking the right metadata yet. https://peps.python.org/pep-0639/ has recently been accepted and will be implemented in future.

there is a --ignore-pypi flag that skips pypi packages. Otherwise you will get a Pypi packages are not supported: ... error
