Point clutter #916

Make representative selection of datapoints, that users can toggle to show.

The "interface" of the main plot is too simplistic, as it doesn't allow a refined selection, filtering or highlighting of the datapoints.

E.g. the DDA Qex module already has quite some data points. But considering the possible parameter space * addition of new software versions or tools, the number of data points will become much larger (hopefully).

However, it is already difficult to figure out what the difference is between multiple points from the same software (is it different version, different parameters).

The "module's main plot" seems to be at the heart of ProteoBench, and "should constitute easy-to-read references for the community".

For example, it would be nice if there was one "reference" point per software / version (maybe only major + minor version), that is using the default settings. Similarly, there could be a selection that only displays the most recent version of each tool.

I am also not sure how exactly this would look like. But there is already a defined list of parameters (like MBR, precursor tolerance, # missed cleavages) maybe one could somehow use these parameters to automatically create some smart selection / grouping options ...

just a stupid idea, one could for example "link" all data points from the same version to the reference run with subtle lines.

There could also be an option to select one of the standard parameters (like MBR); And you get arrows between all datapoints that are otherwise identical (or seem identical) but only vary on this one parameter.
