Request for additional modules in SciPDL

I find PDL to be an incredibly powerful too for my data analysis, and the SciPDL distribution really makes it much easier to get most of the modules I need in one go.

Can I request the following be added to the SciPDL distribution

The following 'standard perl' modules

• DateTime
• String::Scanf
• Devel::Size
• Devel::Carp
• List::Uniq
• LWP::UserAgent
• Test::Number::Delta
• Parallel::ForkManager

and the following PDL module

• PDL::NDBin

Thanks for the request! As of SciPDL v2.095 the following modules are now bundled:

✅ DateTime
✅ String::Scanf
✅ Devel::Size
✅ List::Uniq
✅ LWP::UserAgent
✅ Test::Number::Delta
✅ Parallel::ForkManager
✅ PDL::NDBin
One exception: I had to skip Devel::Carp. The module hasn't been updated since 2009 and uses defined(@array) syntax that was removed in Perl 5.22 (2015), so it won't compile on modern Perl. You can use core Carp instead, or if you really need Devel::Carp specifically, please open an upstream issue with the maintainer (JPRIT).

Closing this issue. v2.095 will be released in a day or two.
