The client's API docs seem to be out of sync

While trying to work through building a sample app using the Ruby client, I've run into some confusion around documentation.

I found 👉🏾 this API doc in this repo, but what's here differs from the ruby test in 👉🏾 this ruby test. Please see #10 for additional context on how this affects users.
