Main End-User Features

The KnowledgeFinder project provides a base software which is adaptable to different use cases. It provides a list of features which can be easily modified to fit the current need. The Frontend - User Documentation throws light on the following topics

Technology

This project is written in Java and JavaScript (Frontend). And uses the following frameworks:

• Data import, indexing and search: Apache Solr

• Webservice / Frontend: Liferay

• Frontend: Bootstrap, D3.js, jQuery, NodeJS

• Build and deploy: Maven

The KnowledgeFinder backend runs on Linux and Windows. The frontend in Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
