Leave Out a Few Frames

I have an image sequence of 159 frames I made from a 23.98fps video. When I set the frame rate of my gif to 12.50fps, I want it to leave out some frames for a smaller size. How do I do that?

If you're generating frames, the best way it to skip generating extra frames (ffmpeg can do the framerate change).
