Good day

How can I setup PentestGPT to authenticate with a OpenAI api key?
I keep getting "The OpenAI API key is not properly configured." but there is nothing under the readme doc about specific configs other than adding the api key.

Hi there, did you try to use the OpenAI API key before on other programs before? We don't implement any further testing on OpenAI API keys because ideally it should work smoothly. Note that you need to link a payment method before using the OpenAI API key.

Haha okay that makes sense I'm on a paid version in GPT and not OpenAI API.

I have another unrelated question why does the cookie time out so quickly I'm still busy then it kicks me out and I need to do everything over again. Last session gives me issues as well.

If I run an API will this then be circumvented?

Cookie used to be a stable workaround but OpenAI keeps tightening the cookie restrictions, so yeah, now you need to update cookie every half an hour or sth. I suppose they don't want ppl to use this type of workaround because essentially we're using it as API for free.
Using OpenAI API will be much more stable. In the future, I'll focus on API version development.
