Android App Camera not working

When I click the camera on adding to a task or any place to open the camera, nothing happens no camera and I see this in logcat 02-17 05:57:27.872 1726 1971 W AS.PlaybackActivityMon: No piid assigned for invalid/internal port id 19119

Really nothing else. I can debug more if you need anything, I did notice if you put the phone to sleep and re awake sometimes the camera will pop up. FYI I'm using a stock Pixel 6 on Android 16.

On wake up after entering the code the camera is up and going.

its hard to pin down as i have tried to get logs many ways but from what i can tell when you press the camera on lets say a task and adding a photo, click the camera icon nothing happens and putting my phone to sleep and waking bring up the camera and it is making me think this maybe the issue https://github.com/Grashjs/cmms/blob/main/mobile/components/actionSheets/CustomActionSheet.tsx#L41 with the hide and opening of the camera may cause an issue without a delay. Its been a while since i have played around with android apps but that is what i can tell is happening but no way of compiling and testing an apk.

Okay not this, I was able to build, ill keep digging and testing, very odd, I wonder if its an Android 16 thing.

I just tested on 1.0.38 and still the same issue, I even tried to remove the app and reinstall just to make sure nothing was hanging up. Click camera and nothing happens, press power to put the device to sleep and fingerprint unlock your phone and it pops up and works as intended. If you press the power button while the device is asleep to wake it up it won't load the camera when you unlock. I have tried a few different repairs and also debugging and it odd there is no call for the camera until the device goes to sleep and is awoken.

I just compiled the latest app and the camera app is still not working in the latest commit 053bd77.

I don't have permission to reopen this or would you like me to create a new?

Negative, Same result. I'm able to get the camera up by click on camera and when it doesn't pop up i power off the screen(put the device to sleep) and then tap the screen and unlock with finger print. If i wake my phone with power button and then unlock my phone it will NOT pop up only when i tap my screen from a sleep and unlock pops it up. It almost list the request for camera is in limbo until i'm able to pull it. I'm at my pc for the next few hours if you have anything more to test. I'm running a 100% stock android 16 Pixel 6 latest update.

for testing i forced the use of barcode as i know it uses the camera and that camera pops right up.

Never mind It worked the first time when I had to set the permission but now, with camera permission, it says No access to Camera , I click open setting and go back the camera loads.
