Right now if the bundled tools aren't next to the executable the app just doesn't work. (which in of itself is a bit misleading as there is no error. it just launches but doesn't do anything). i think it should at least try to use system wide dependencies if bundled ones don't exist.
this also makes packaging it for distros less annoying.
