Yes, sure a pull-request would be cool - I was actually looking at this before (about 6 months ago) but could not make much sense of it - got side tracked and so I left it alone ...

I still don't know how this change is supposed to work - its not stated in the Stackoverflow article or elsewhere - as discussed in the PR - I simply need an explanation that states what needs to be set in order to verify the new functionality and a description of what's actually different before and after the change...
