          For Canadians diagnosed with celiac disease, a gluten-free diet is a medical necessity —
          not a lifestyle choice. Gluten-free staples routinely cost

          than their conventional equivalents, creating a significant and ongoing financial burden

            supported by 33,000 Canadians, was presented in Parliament in February 2026.
