⚠️ Repo History Rewritten (Backlog Purge)

We performed a git history rewrite on main to permanently remove previously committed backlog content (e.g., anything under tasks/backlog/) from the repository’s commit history.

Why

Those backlog files were committed briefly in early development. Even though they were later removed and .gitignore was fixed, they were still reachable via git history. We rewrote history to eliminate that exposure.

What changed

• main history was rewritten and force-pushed.
• Old commits referencing tasks/backlog/ are no longer part of the public main history.

What you need to do (if you have an existing clone)

Recommended: re-clone the repo.

mv veritas-kanban veritas-kanban.old
git clone https://github.com/BradGroux/veritas-kanban.git

Alternative (advanced): hard reset your local main to the rewritten origin/main (you may lose local work if you’re not careful).

git fetch origin
git checkout main
git reset --hard origin/main
git clean -fd

Notes
Git hosting providers may retain unreachable objects for a short period until garbage collection completes, but the main branch history no longer contains the removed backlog paths.

Notes

• Opus 4.5 is a little trigger happy
• Codex is little more reserved
• Dev environments exist for a reason
