Hello! Thanks for the suggestion. I have already looked into this and ran into challenges because SSMS doesn't expose any easy way to manipulate the status bar color. I might try again some time, but right now I do not know how to do this. |

Just got back to the office to update this extension and wanted to confirm it works perfectly. Great work! I'll definitely be checking out the source to see how you managed to accomplish this. On that note, thank you for sharing it so I have an opportunity to learn! One thing you might consider to improve the functionality is a checkbox (defaulted true) that appears on the New Rule prompt to Match Status/Tab Color so that the status bar can be set to a different color, if desired. |

That is a good Idea. So, you are saying it should be a connection based setting instead of a global setting. I like it. |
Yes, exactly. Example use case would be any situation in which you want to have colors for each tab based on server/table but you want a separate color for each status bar to distinguish between environments (e.g. production vs test). Personally, I want to keep everything a unified color so it works perfectly for me the way that it is but adding this extra bit of flexibility would make the extension more versatile. Would it be possible to add in the ability to change the status bar color at the same time you are setting the tab color if it's not already set? This would reduce tedium involved in establishing organization.
