Cueweb not sending request to the rest api

I have set up Cueweb and the rest api. The rest api is up and working but does not recieve requests from the web application. This results in no jobs being displayed.

i have followed the steps in the getting stared guide and made sure the rest api is reachable from the Cueweb container. but for some reason after starting Cueweb  and opening it in the browser no request reaches the rest api.
