If you get a RS822+ this script will definitely allow you to use your RX415. Unfortunately this script only works with NAS models that use device tree blobs, as they are relatively easy to edit. Since late 2020 all new Synology models that used a CPU that Synology had not previously used use device tree. Older models, like the RS820+ and RS1619xs+, have all hardware information hard coded into the kernel. |

Hi,
I currently have a RS816 running with a RX415. I want to upgrade to RS816 to a RS820+ and use it with the RX415.
I can only find info that the RS820+ is compatible with the RX418. Also found a Reddit post about it but there was no definitive answer nor was your script mentioned.
In your Github info I can see that a RX415 would work with the RX415, I however don't see compatibility for the script with the RS820+.
I also have a RS1619xs+. I want to buy a DX expansion unit as the RX model simply does not fit in my rack.
Would a RS1619xs+ be compatible with a DX1215II?
TL;DR
RS820+ with RX415?
RS1619xs+ with DX1215II?
Thanks!
